Walter Wiese started fly fishing in the Missouri Ozarks when he was six. Nowadays his home waters are the Yellowstone River, Missouri River, and Yellowstone Park. He has been guiding and outfitting in Montana and the park since 2001, but he still has a soft spot for Midwestern spring creeks, tail waters, and bass rivers. Walter began tying commercially in 2002. While he likes to design all sorts of flies for anything that swims, his particular specialty is low-floating yet highly-visible and buoyant dry flies that put clients with average or lower skill into fish on heavily-pressured float rivers in the Rockies.
