Slater BootenhoffFly Designer

Slater Bootenhoff is the son of a professional B.A.S.S tournament fisherman. He’s basically had a rod in his hand and fishing in his blood since he could crawl to the edge of the dock. Being Colorado born and bred, Slater naturally traded the bait caster in for a fly rod and never looked back. In 2010 Slater finished his bachelors degree in fine art. He looks at fly fishing as an artistic pursuit, and brings a level of artistry to his fly designs. Slater refers to his flies as small sculptures to be judged by the worlds most impartial critics; fish. Slater spends the summers operating logging equipment in Colorado so he can spend the colder months in Mexico chasing fish on the flats.
