Josh is a Southern Appalachian born and raised trout bum. He grew up fishing small streams for wild and wary brook, brown, and rainbow trout in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He now spends his summers in his hometown and spends the rest of the year in Johnson City, Tennessee for school at East Tennessee State University. This placed him in the midst of some of the greatest tailwater fishing Southern Appalachia has to offer in the Watauga and South Holston rivers. Because of his widespread fishing background Josh’s patterns are a culmination of the qualities needed to catch both finicky tailwater fish and voracious, native brook trout in any stream or river.
