My name is Diego Oliver, I’m from San Martin De Los Andes, Argentina. I started fishing with my father at the age of 11 and since then it has become a passion for me. I have fished all the Nequen province from North to South and East to West, always looking for new Rivers, Lakes and Streams.
After graduating College I came back to my hometown and started guiding as a certified guide for the Lanin National Park and also for the Neuquen province.
My favorite rivers to guide on are the Malleo River, the Filo Hua Hum and the Collon Cura. When I want trophy fish I move to the Limay. But I have to admit that fishing the lakes when the Dragonflies are hatching is one of the best and enjoyable experiences you can have.
Two years ago I started Patagonia Nomads with my partner Lucas Buxton and we have never looked back.
In my off season I work as a mountain bike guide and in the winter as a ski instructor.
I love guiding, meeting people and being on the water, if i could do this all my life i would do it…
I am lucky enough to have four Daughters and a wonderful Wife who also enjoy the sport.
