Duane is an old farm boy from Nowhere, Illinois.  But somehow there has always been fishy water flowing through his veins.  As soon as he was able, Duane moved west on his own and began plying the waters of the Pacific for big game fish.  As his knowledge and resources amassed, Duane began traveling the world in search of his next catch.  From Mexico to remote islands between Panama and Colombia, Duane searched out and caught almost every pelagic species in the Pacific and Atlantic.  Truth be told, he used to scoff at his trout-fishing son, calling the fish he caught in the streams “bait.”  But then the fly got him, too.  Now Duane devotes himself to hunting the big fish of the western rivers, seeking out the three-footers of the rivers few others even know about.
