As discerning as some fish can be, and technically demanding as many different types of angling will be at any given
time, nothing compares to the exacting execution required when casting to tailing permit and bonefish. Inches off on
a 70’ cast in a 30 knot coastal wind, and you’re toast. Minutes off on the tidal schedule, and you haven’t a chance. A
dull hook or poorly tied pattern…..forget it. When you shell out the kind of dough it takes for cross country or transoceanic
flights, accommodations and gear, why would you skimp on the one thing you are going to present to your
quarry. F@ck around with the gorgeous bronzed waitress at the tiki bar, sure. But don’t f*#k around with your flies!
