About Troy Basso

I was born in Michigan and began fishing the rivers of the great north at an early age. Fly fishing came to me early and chasing warmwater fish came soon after that. After a 10 year hitch in the US Army I settled in Tennessee and began fishing and guiding. Along the way I ended up writing for some magazines and that grew to where I have become a nationally published writer with an emphasis on fly fishing. I also teach tying classes from the beginner level up to advanced courses on articulated flies for toothy fish and some saltwater patterns. My website is located at www.troybasso.com
