My passion for fly fishing started at the age of 4 when my father let me use his yellow Fenwick combo travel rod to catch my first trout on a fly. Fortunately, my home town of Vail, Colorado, provided me with an amazing opportunity to pursue what has become my greatest passion. After going to college in Florida and getting a taste for the salt water, I was literally hooked. From there
I had the unique opportunity to go to Mexico, study the Mayan Indians and explore the Yucatan’s incredible fisheries. After college and a career in Japan I landed back in the Yucatan where I now call home. I live in Akumal, Mexico in the heart of the Riviera Maya where I manage my vacation rental company, Akumal Villas, and fish to my hearts content in and around the Yucatan.
