Matt Devlin was born on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay to a sailing family. After being introduced to fly fishing he quickly became enamored with the sport and has worked in the industry in MD, NY, SC, FL, and ultimately Montana. He learned to tie by cutting apart store bought flies and reversing the steps/materials. For the last decade he has worked as a fly fishing guide in the myriad of waters surrounding Missoula, MT. He is a licensed saltwater USCG captain, G. Loomis Pro, and most importantly; father to a nearly 3 year old son. He is currently guiding less, and fishing and tying more!
