Alex has been fly fishing and tying since he was 15. Growing up in Fort Myers, Florida, he enjoys catching snook, redfish, and tarpon in the backwaters of Sanibel, Pine Island, and Boca Grande. In high school, Alex tied flies as a fundraiser for food banks and environmental charities in Southwest Florida. He now attends the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor at the Ross School of Business and has a minor in environmental sustainability. Alex enjoys tying abstract saltwater fly patterns with bold colors and impressions. He seeks to add flavor to
traditional fly designs and has great success with his patterns. Find him on the flats of South Florida testing his latest creations in the skinny waters or exploring rivers and streams with his free time in Michigan.
